Slowly, we are getting closer to experience the beast side of female rapper; Eyirap! Just about a week ago, our studio “Spiders” invaded a couple of studios and they happen to catch Eyirap live in action cooking something hot and powerful for everyone that believes in African HipHop! Eyirap calls the upcoming single “Beast In The City” which had dancehall artiste Amslin backing the hook, and was produced by 3D Pyramid’s own Hype Lyrix!
Looking back at Eyirap’s previous releases, she expressed herself calmly and allowed her singing side take most of the musical pictures she painted… Ladies and gentlemen, this is very much different from what you have heard from her since the beginning of the year in exception of her bars on the GH Female Cypher hosted by Mix Masta Garzy. Even though she sang the hook on this new single, she did sing in a war voice with powerful Ewe language combinations. I guess I will need a good Ewe translator to tell me what this really means. I know this is certainly not a hook that could be anything close to being calm or smiling. Its a war song people!
Since we saw the artwork displayed on her facebook wall, we decided to ask her management for the release date and luckily, they had a release date which is 17th October 2014. Eyirap is the only female rapper representing her roots with so much confidence and pride. Its feels good to see more Volta Region Emcees coming up, and I will love to see the Femcees rising up as well… I think Eyirap will eventually make that possible and motivate them to rise up.
